Move with Gratitude: Workouts Happening Around Boston This Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving in Boston isn’t just about turkey and pumpkin pie, it’s also a time to move your body, connect with your community, and give back. From charity 5Ks to high-energy studio classes supporting local causes, there are plenty of ways to get your heart rate up before (or after) the feast. Whether you’re lacing up for a Turkey Trot or joining a feel-good fundraiser, these workouts are the perfect way to celebrate gratitude, movement, and community.
Here are some donation-based and Thanksgiving-themed fitness events happening across Boston this year:

Join My Pilates Studio in assembling care packages for Rosie’s Place, supporting women in need in the Boston community.

Join your Rozzie neighbors for a full-body workout — donation only! Proceeds benefit Safe Passage, an organization working to end domestic violence and relationship abuse.

All proceeds from this calming yoga and meditation experience go directly to The Food Project. Can’t make it? Donations are still welcome.

A family-friendly 5K and 10K along the Charles River supporting Boston Road Runners Youth Programs. Costumes encouraged!
📍 Castle Island Brewery, South Boston

Run a casual 5K with no bibs, no closed roads — just pure fun. Your $25 entry includes a drink ticket and supports Good Sports, providing athletic gear to kids in need.

Run, refuel, and raise money for the Greater Boston Food Bank. The race is full, but volunteers are still welcome!
